Faculty of Behavioral Sciences

Welcome to Department of Clinical Psychology

“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.”- Carl Rogers

Department of Clinical Psychology was established in the year 2013. In 2014, the department was merged with newly formed Faculty of Behavioural Sciences (FBS). The department embraces participatory, experiential, discursive and student-centric practices, in its teaching-learning endeavours. Further, research-oriented, competent and student-focused faculty adds to the strength and potency of the department. A visible strength of the department is field training and project work as a part of the course curriculum. Such field/project work aids students in putting their theoretical knowledge of the discipline into practice. Department of Clinical Psychology is a leading department offering its students an ideal combination of professional and academic excellence. We are constantly working towards our mission of delivering quality education and preparing potential clinical psychologists to meet the demand for clinical psychologists in the country as well as abroad. Like all other medical and paramedical professionals, employment opportunities for clinical psychologists are tremendous. It is a career where the demand exceeds supply. The department has latest infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art lecture rooms, laboratory having experimental and testing facility, library facilities and affiliation with OPD/IPD of Psychiatry department. Teaching pedagogy is supplemented by interactive programs with renowned counselors and psychologists of national and international fame, leading to holistic development of students. The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction not a destination.”-Carl Rogers
