Faculty of Behavioral Sciences


The Faculty of Behavioural Sciences (FBS) was established in 2014 with the Department of Clinical Psychology with the introduction of Undergraduate (B.Sc.), Postgraduate (M.Sc.) & Doctor of Philosophy (PhD.) Courses. In 2017, the Department of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology (ASLP) and in 2019 the department of special education were created under FBS. The RCI approved M. Phil Clinical Psychology course was introduced in 2017 and a number of other RCI approved courses such Post-graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology (PDCP); Bachelor of Audiology, Speech Language & Pathology (BASLP); B.Ed (Hearing Impairment and Intellectual Disability); D.Ed (Hearing Impairment, Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorders), were introduced. In the current pandemic situation, the need for trained professional clinical psychologists to provide mental health support to the society has increased than ever before. FBS under SGT University fulfills this responsibility with the help of highly trained faculty, OPD/IPD facilities, state of the art diagnostic tools, psychiatric services and latest infrastructure.
