Cognitive Skills and Critical Thinking
Institutions’ Innovation Council (IIC) set up under the guidance of MHRD, organized a one-day “Workshop on Cognitive Skills & Critical Thinking” in coordination with IQAC & Faculty of Commerce & Management on 11th December 2018. The speaker for the session was Dr. Amrita Yadava, retired Professor from MDU & Prof. Rajbeer Singh, Additional Dean, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences. The audience were the faculty members from all the departments of the University. The concept of Innovation, creativity, critical and positive thinking was deeply explained through theory and some practical exercises like puzzles.
The Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, organized a Workshop on “Clinical Management of Childhood Disorders”. The expert speaker was Dr. Rajendara Kumar Sharma, a renowned Clinical Psychologist working as Head Clinical Psychology, Amity University, Madhya Pradesh. The workshop was attended by students of M.Phil Clinical Psychology, B.Sc and M.Sc Clinical Psychology. It was an interactive workshop
and the students participated enthusiastically.
A Sacred Heart University Delegation who earlier visited Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, PDPU for “study in India program” for a course on working in cross-cultural perspective came visiting SGTU. Prof Waheeda Khan, Dean Faculty of Behavioral Science, SGT University, gave an expert lecture. The delegation met other faculty members and students visited the SGTU campus.
