Community Awareness Program on World No Tobacco day
The department of clinical psychology, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram (Haryana) organized one-day community awareness program on World no tobacco day at village Chandu, Gurugram (Haryana) on 31st May, 2019. In this camp faculty members of Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences and students of M.Phil. Clinical Psychology participated. The following were the main activities of the camp:
- Introductory speech was given by Faculty members of department of clinical psychology, FBSC.
- All the villagers were told about the harmful consequences of tobacco and they were also informed about the harmful consequences of passive smoking.
- Students of M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology), Department of clinical psychology discuss the issue with the villagers and spread awareness among them about harmful consequences of tobacco.
- They were also told about ways to deal with tobacco dependence.
The camp ended on a positive note. Participants gave a positive feedback and were encouraged not to smoke tobacco and if someone does then that person would be educated about it.
