“Effective ways to prepare for the Exam”
Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, Department of Clinical Psychology, SGT University Gurugram organized a workshop on “Effective ways to prepare for the Exam” for the students of R. D Public Senior Secondary School, Krishna Vihar, Delhi on 12th February 2021.
The purpose of the workshop was to assess the stress due to exams among students of Class 10th & 12th respectively and discuss the strategies to prepare for the exam. Faculties along with MPhil Clinical Psychology trainees visited the school and conducted psychological assessments to assess the level of stress. There were a total of 100 students, 50 each from 10th and 12th standard.
Dr. Nandha Kumara Pujam. S (H.O.D., Associate Professor- Clinical Psychology) and the MPhil trainees talked about stress, types of stress, and effects of stress on the students lives. Further, they also demonstrated and discussed various psychological techniques to handle stress like JPMR and Body scanning.
Subsequently, they talked about various memory techniques and strategies to prepare for the exam. The workshop ended on a positive note with students feeling enhanced coping in dealing with the exams effectively.
