Public lecture on “AUTISM: A DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER”
On the occasion of the World Autism Awareness Day 2nd April 2016, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences organized a public lecture on “AUTISM: A DEVELOPMENTAL DISORDER”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Shahzadi Malhotra, Assistant Professor, Clinical Psychology, Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya, Geeta Colony, Delhi. Faculty and students from B.Sc, M.Sc Clinical Psychology and faculty from Department of Pediatrics attended the lecture. The speaker emphasized on the early identification of developmental disorder, recent assessment tools, management and insight into handling caregiver issues emerging in Autism. Prof. (Dr.) Kamlesh Kohli, Director, Medical Services inaugurated the program and spoke about the importance of early identification and awareness about ASD. Prof (Dr.) Waheeda Khan, Dean of the Faculty welcomed the guests and introduced the speaker. In the end, Dr. Prerna Sharma gave away the vote of thanks.
