Workshop on Applied Behaviour Analysis
Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences, organized a Workshop on “Applied Behavior Analysis”. The resource person of the workshop was Prof. (Dr.) S.P.K. Jena. The workshop was organized by Dr. Nandha Kumara Pujam. S, HoD and Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology, SGT, University. It was attended by students of Ph.D. Psychology, M.Phil (Clinical Psychology), M.Sc (Clinical Psychology) and B.Sc Clinical Psychology. The workshop started with a welcome note delivered by Dr. Nandha Kumara Pujam. S followed by felicitation of resource person by Prof. (Dr) Waheeda Khan, Dean Faculty of Behavioral Sciences (FBS). Following topics were covered in the workshop like ABA & human development, rationale needs & conceptual issues, current approaches of cognitive behaviorism behavioral assessment & diagnosis, new perspectives in enhancing desirable responding, developing and sustaining new behaviors, critical issues in decreasing undesirable responding and self-directed behavior changes. The sessions were interactive and the students participated actively by presenting various case studies related to autism, mental retardation, etc.
