Department of Clinical Psychology was established in the year 2013. In 2014, the department was merged with newly formed Faculty of Behavioural Sciences (FBS). The department embraces participatory, experiential, discursive and student-centric practices, in its teaching-learning endeavours. Further, research-oriented, competent and student-focused faculty adds to the strength and potency of the department. A visible strength of the department is field training and project work as part of the course curriculum. Such field/project work aid students in putting their theoretical knowledge of the discipline into practice. Department of Clinical Psychology is a leading department offering its students with an ideal combination of professional and academic excellence.
There was a near unanimity on the need for regulating commercial surrogacy in India at a Panel discussion “Surrogacy: Social, Legal and Medical issues” held at the SGT University Gurgaon, today. The panel consisting of Heads and deans of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Law, Behavioral Sciences and Nursing of the SGT University was moderated by the well known Doordarshan News Anchor Ashok Srivastava and a social worker Sneha Banerjee from SAMA enriched the discussion. The Participants however, pointed out the need for a comprehensive discussion on the various aspects of the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill 2016.The debate organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication & Media Technology as part of Faculty Development Program was actively participated by the students of all the concerned departments, kicking off a mini debate before the introduction of the Bill perhaps in the coming winter session of Parliament
